18 March 2001 - General updates
Added in the feasibility of using staves instead of a weapon/shield combination and some comments on the fighter-mage variant in the Equipment section. Added some more links that are related to the sorceress class. Also, I am now working on the Hardcore Necromancer Guide, something similar to this guide. |
11 March 2001 - General updates
- Corrected Nightsmoke's "-2 magic damage" to "-2 (physical) damage".
- Frostburn adds 32% to total mana (and mana/sec regeneration rate) when one SoJ is used, and 26.7% when 2 SoJs are used. It doesn't add 40% all the time.
- Blaze is updated (it wasn't given enough attention) with a link to Lok's HC Blaze Babe mini-guide.
- Added my reasons for using level 75 as a respectable level. That statement alone generated 4 long threads of arguments on LL's forums last month, mainly over twinking, as well as an article titled Which Game Are You Playing? by Sirian.

6 March 2001 - General updates
- VV's Complete Sorceress Guide has been massively updated.
- The EHP concept has been updated with an excerpt from VV's guide regarding Nightsmoke and the Vulpine ability and additional commentary. The Vulpine ability only works with melee damage.
- Some details of the v1.05 Static Field radius has been sent in.
- Errors regarding the bonuses to mana regeneration from Frostburn vs Magefist is corrected.
- List of recommended areas to level in added.
- More links to various other HC related guides added.
- +skills equipment, Defense rating and Thunderstorm are also updated.

25 February 2001 - New subsection added
Added a "Act 4 Focus" subsection under the Combat section. Talks about some problems that a sorc might face while fighting in Act 4. A copy of this hardcore sorceress guide is also now available on The Lurker Lounge. |
24 February 2001 - Guide hosted on Diabloii.net
An identical copy of this hardcore sorceress guide is now available on Diabloii.net for reading. However please note that this website will still contain the latest news and updates (if any). For today, the only update is changing the word "exponentially" to "qudratically" for the description of Static Field in the Skills Section, and a new link to Dog of Justice's Hardcore Sorceress Guide which is actually a annotation to (to be read along with) VV's Complete Sorceress Guide. |
11 February 2001 - Combat Section added
I have renamed the Tips Section to Combat and copied various parts of VenomousVixen's Sorceress Guide relavant to combat. Also I have replied all emails and made minor changes to other sections as needed. |
4 February 2001 - Whole guide completed
I have completed the Skills section completing the guide. I had made a mistake in my previous news, it is not 3rd March, but 3rd February. I will be back on 10th February for a few hours. Due to a lack of time, I am unable to respond to any emails as yet. I will reply them and add in the suggestions accordingly the next time I return. |
25 January 2001 - Skills section half completed
Due to a lack of time, I have only managed to complete half the Skills section. I will be back on 3rd March. |
23 January 2001 - Website to be updated tomorrow
I've just reached home from the first week of BMT (Basic Military Training), thanks to everyone who responded with their comments. I will attempt to complete the Skills section by tomorrow, add in some more tips, clarify and update a few things as suggested. |
18 January 2001 - More sections Up
2 more sections are now up: Communication and Leveling Up 1-30. Most of this guide was written and compiled in a rush, so weed out all the mistakes and send in things I have missed out and your different views and opinions to me. I will most likely add them in if it is reasonable. I will be back from army camp next Tuesday, January 23, for Chinese New Year celebrations so that is the earliest I can reply by and update this guide again. Meanwhile, the only remaining section that I have not done is the Skills section. I will complete this on the January 24 due to a lack of time. |
17 January 2001 - More sections up
The Equipment, Tweaking and Links sections are now updated and complete. Want the full analysis between Frostburn versus Magefist? It's all in the Tweaking section. In addition, the Feedback form is now available and working. |
16 January 2001 - More sections up
The Other Tips section is now complete and half of the Equipment section is up. I'll work on the other sections and complete the commentary/analysis of the Equipment section when I have some free time. All work and no play makes Xinhuan a dull boy! |
15 January 2001 - This site is up!
Finally, I've gotten around to writing a portion of the HC Sorc guide and put it up on a webpage. Only the HP/Mana Balance section is complete currently though. Please email me or use the feedback form if you find any information inaccurate, wish to add in your opinions, and give feedback on the general website. Is the font size too small? Also, I have not made the banner for this site yet, so don't email me about it, unless you offer to make one. |
