- This website hosts a few extremely good guides for the various classes in Diablo 2, but more importantly, it is the website where the most statistics and bug discoveries and posted.

- This is the place where many hardcore players from all over the world share their opinions, strategies and tips for playing hardcore.

Sorceress Guides
- Lady FengYun's Sorceress Guide - http://members.nbci.com/ru_yun/diablo2/sorceress-guide.html
- This is a guide to playing as a Blizzard soloing sorceress. However this is a softcore guide, so do not listen to "Never add any point to Vitality". Still a good and interesting read.
- VenomousVixen's Complete Sorceress Guide - http://d2source.com/guide/index.html
- The name of the website says it all: Complete Sorceress Guide. It has everything you will ever want to know about a sorceress, how to build one, discussions and debates on skills, and even has even a Melee Sorceress Guide. VV now has a parent site for his guides, called The Sorceress Source.
- YZilla's Lightning-tree Only Sorceress Guide - http://www.lurkerlounge.com/2s/sorceres/light.shtml
- In this interesing guide, YZilla tries to give a solution to the challenge of playing a lightning-tree only sorceress (no warmth/cold armours), giving suggestions on equipment, skills, and strategies to make the best use of her limited abilities.
- Sirian's Fire Skills Guide - http://sirian.warpcore.org/diablo2/fire-skills.html
- Sirian has writen a complete guide on how to best utilise the fire spells of a sorceress, giving many examples of strategy and tactical usage to either help build a fire sorceress or supplement other kinds of sorceress.
- RainyCloud's PvP Sorceress Guide - http://www.lurkerlounge.com/2s/sorceres/rainycld.shtml
- RainyCloud teaches the differences between a PvM sorceress and a PvP sorceress, and tells us how best to build duel specific variants of each class. However RainyCloud's guide has errors with regards to Energy Shield and EHP, specifically the sentence that says "with my lv16 energy shield and 800 hp, I could take over 2000 damage before dying." This is not possible unless he has over 2502 mana, having a EHP of 2059. This is probably because the guide was written before the double mana absorption of Energy Shield was discovered.
- Ethereal's Hardcore Sorceress Guide - http://network54.com/Hide/Forum/message?forumid=31101&messageid=972421938
- This is a good hardcore sorceress guide, and the only hardcore one available as of yet, other than this one. It is obviously smaller than this one in terms of detail and analysis, but this guide has everything covered as well.
- Dog of Justice's Hardcore Sorceress Guide - http://www.diabloii.net/strategy/d2guides/sorc-dog-justice.shtml
- This guide by DoJ is actually not a complete guide, but rather a annotation to VV's Complete Sorceress Guide and is meant to be read alongside together. An earlier text version (9 January, 2001) of the same guide can be downloaded right here. This text version is made available because there is some overlap between this document and my guide, since they were written roughly simultaneously, without much coordination but with some cross-reference.
- Lok's Hardcore Blaze Babe Mini-Guide - http://www.lurkerlounge.com/2s/sorceres/blazbabe.shtml
- Lok shows the power of Blaze when used properly and has put up a guide on how to make on in hardcore successfully. This is a good read for anyone who likes Blaze.
Tales and Adventures of Hardcore Sorceress
- Countess NakedBabe_I - http://www.diabloii.net/nakedbabe
- Created by the player that started all the N00dity madness on the realms, James the Barbarian chronicles the adventures of a completely naked sorceress on his very first attempt. Died at level 34 in Nightmare Underground Passage.
- Duchess Ember - http://sirian.warpcore.org/diablo2/ember.html
- Sirian, a well known poster on Lurker Lounge, undertook one of the most challenging tasks in hardcore ever heard of: To complete Nightmare difficulty using only 3 skills, Warmth, Firebolt and Fire Mastery. Go here to read all about her adventures in extreme detail on both difficulties. She is still alive at level 39.
- Countess Yenkabolta - http://sirian.warpcore.org/diablo2/hoh/yenkabolta.html
- If you think firebolt was crazy enough, how about a charged bolt sorceress? Here, the character was allowed to use other skills, but using CB as the main attack. This sorceress is also listed in Duchess Ember's Hall of Heroes, a page created to honor the memory and achievements of Ember's Quest by recognizing the deeds of valor performed by others like her: Hardcore single player characters.
Other Hardcore Guides
- Lord Rahn's HC Necrozon Guide - http://www.geocities.com/throlan/diablo/necrozon.htm
- A guide to playing one of the variants of the Necromancer, one that uses no minions and only curses and bone spells. A similar guide called the Reviveless Necromancer is also great although it doesn't focus on hardcore play.
- Lord Rahn's HC Might Paladin Guide - http://www.geocities.com/throlan/diablo/HCstart.htm
- Lord Rahn recommends using the Paladin as your first HC character and gives some advice on using Might with this character. Bear in mind that this character is designed to be a first character in HC "scout" and is able to survive with only magical items and with minimal effort into the 30s. It is not designed to go into Hell/Act 4.
- Lord Rahn's HC Tankazon Guide - http://www.geocities.com/throlan/diablo/tankazon.htm
- Another mini-guide by Lord Rahn, this time on the Tankazon variant of the Amazon class. It is supposedly one of the hardest variants to die because of passives, shield blocking and high defense armors working together.
- Unholy_VI's HC PK Startup Guide - http://www.users.qwest.net/~billr76/guides/guide.htm
- In this mini-guide, UH6 teaches players how to make a simple standard PK charge paladin with minimal effort.
- Beginner's Guide to Playing Hardcore - http://www.diabloii.net/strategy/d2articles/newbie-overview.shtml
- Written by Charles Teague II, this guide covers every aspect of starting off Hardcore, including why play HC, basic philosophies, tips on avoiding PK's, good beginning equipment, differences in play style from softcore to hardcore, basic strategies, and more.
- A Treatise on Lag - http://www.io.com/~shren/.lag.html
- This article by Shren offers good insight on the various kinds of lag that exists online for Diablo 2. A definite must read for all hardcore players.
