Here is my comment.( But I don't mean I know every things. These are just my view. I say all these for the sake of Myanmar Music and Entertainment) I am sorry if you think I am arrogant.

MUSIC

Myanmar music industry is quite risky and unpredictable. Nowadays youngsters try to make their own series and , said to say, they lose . If you flip Burmese Magazines ( Ma-hae-ti , Myin-Kwin etc) you can see many advertisement of new series and interviews with new comers. How many of them make it, I mean , become famous? ??? Not too many. Reason???? I really don't know. But It is really sickening to listen new Myanmar series because most of the song are so called 'copy' ( i.e, originally they are English, Chinese or Thai songs and used the tune with Burmese words! ). If the new songs are 'own tune' the quality is lousy. They are very boring and very predictable. Another type of so called 'own tune' is the song writer try to use two or three bars from English or other songs and then put one bar of his own and another two bar from other original songs!!!!

In terms of 'Vocal' there are a lot of good singers with strong voice. In terms of 'Musicians' there are also good musicians but not too many have good fortune.I say this becauz apart from Emperor and Iron Cross, which band is famous? ( it doesn't mean other bands are not good, but people don't appreciate other bands. Reason??? I don't know). Another thing is not using international notes.

ENTERTAINMENT

Movie : Nowadays, there are not too many Myanmar movies are made yearly( around 20 to 40 if I ma not wrong). But when Academy Award comes, Alamak, two best actor award and two best actress award and ....... I think not as prestigious as 80s.

Video : No quality in scripts. Predictable ( always ' a chit zat lan' )

Another bad thing : Most of the top Actors and Actress are overweight!( wah mah lah dar lar ma thih? ). Supporting actors and actresses are over-acting. Sometimes background music disturb a lot. For example, when two people are talking, the background music is louder then their conversation!
