Organisational

Served on the Department Ethics Review Committee for a year from 19 March 2007 to 1 April 2008 in the Department of English Language and Literature, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, National University of Singapore. Together with the other committee members, I helped to oversee all of the department’s research ethics applications (students and staff), and helped ensure consistency in the interpretation of ethics guidelines.

Part of the team responsible for obtaining ISO 9001:2000 certification for my army unit in 2003.

Completed ISO 9001:2000 Implementation and Internal Quality Audit workshops conducted by Ernst & Young Associates Pte Ltd in 2003.

Completed Events Management workshop conducted by Learning Strategists in 2001.

Administrative

Experienced in document formatting, proofreading, and administrative assistant duties.

Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel on PC.

Outstanding Performance as an Administrative Support Assistant while serving my National Service and a Letter of Commendation awarded by my unit.

Communication

Effectively bilingual in English and Malay.

Have done English-to-Malay translation for the National Heritage Festival 2004.

Wrote articles for Anderson Junior College publication.

Completed Writing for the Media workshop conducted by the British Council in 2000.
