I'm only a level 29 dark wizard on Mu online.

School has started and O&G is too long (3 weeks), at the expense of Paeds and Ortho (I feel).

I don't qualify for Lasik. My corneas are only the average 550 microns thick.

Horrible myopia, high astig; not suited for disposable contact lenses, frameless specs, not even half frames.

When technology improves.

That aside, I'm hooked on  Boutique -- by Madison Park. A hybrid of stylish pop and
sophisticated house grooves. The music is a confection of electronic, nujazz, disco & deephouse sounds. Madison Park is James and DeAnna Cool. (yes "Cool" is their real last name). DeAnna and James Cool, met each other, found their music tastes similar and  founded BasicLux Records,  working together as Madison Park. The CD contains several collaborations between Madison Park and various artists and producers, such as remixer extraordinaire Lenny B.

You should read tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom. Based on a true story. Succinct and compact. My favourite bits:

And that's a Brooks Burn. Got it cheap at 89.90 from SportsLink. Don't really like designer brands which trade durability and function for style. I think I need my runs in the sun. Will look for ways to do this when term starts.

9^th May 04: circling square

Thanks to Easy, I've acquired another pair of specs and running shoes. No more shopping sprees, all moolah now goes into joseph wong's fund and sayyang's lasik resource.

It's almost a year since I began my first entry. Now, I make a resolution to work hard, no thanks to my tremendous time wasting in year 4.

20^th Apr 04: too many tunnels

A portion of Nicoll Highway near the Golden Mile Complex where the MRT's Circle Line is being built collapsed at 3:30pm on Tuesday. Access to the road between the Kallang area and Suntec City has been blocked off by police and civil defence officers at the scene. One body has been so far found.

Godspeed to the rescue work.

12^th Apr 04: black magic

That's it. End of year 4.  After 4 years of slacking, surviving the final year will be a mean feat. Thus, I've enlisted the help of the dark side. Or rather, I have succumbed to the forces that have been contriving to barter my soul for icy discipline and decent memory. And I am bound to see out the contract by the one ring. Actually it's the eleventh ring that was forged from the fires of Mt. Doom... Not the one ring to rule them all... But the one ring to remember them all.
