GI: Anvil of Victory is the third (and last) expansion set of the Squad Leader game system. It does for the Americans what Cross of Iron does for the Russians.

If you have come this far in the SL system, it is probably time to stop. The rules are really getting convoluted, and many of the original rules are superceded. If you want to look up a particular rule, you probably have to flip through several booklets.
This is probably the reason AH has designed Advanced Squad Leader. But the investment in money and time needed to even start ASL has put me off till now.
