havent
updated for like 200 yrs.. yeah hmm life has been good. went mambo
last week and i didnt get drunk after some chivas, sambuca, long
island tea, baileys.. n i dunno what else. hehe.. i'm good. think
i might be going again on wed. woohoOo.
yah
anyway i found some use for the fridge.. sorry fi. in fact i've
got a 1litre packet of fruit tree apple juice with aloe vera in
it now. heh. slurp. the fridge is pretty useful outdoors too cos
u can connect it to the car's cigarette lighter plug.
ok
shall go and sleep now.. gotta get up early to catch liverpool vs
porto in the champions world series. the new liverpool team sounds
promising.. shall take a look at the new signings.

i have
a new mini bar fridge!! haaaha. there's a "buy 12 bottles of
anchor beer and get a fridge for $29.90" promotion at cold
storage.. so darren and i got ourselves 24 bottles of beer and 2
fridges. lol. in the end we could only drink 6 bottles over the
boring portugal-greece match.. yah.. kinda have lots of leftover
beer. anchor isn't the greatest beer around, and i dun really have
a use for the fridge.. so... yah.. hahaaa quite dumb.

so i did get my off on thursday.. told my 2IC i wanted to go zouk
haha. anyway mambo was fun!! got a little bit drunk though haaha.
if everything works out we should be going again next wed. derek,
darren n yw will all be taking off! woohoO. and we're gonna have
a drinking session at my charyong place before going down.. i think.
-shrug- anyway things have been pretty good the past week. my csm's
back in the office n he's super nice to me though i'm like so slack
n got into so much trouble with the LRI inspection. haha. the new
mono course is starting next week.. things should be quite busy
for me. hope to be involved in coming evaluations though.. i need
more off days!!!

man activetopic.com closed down.. had to get myself a new tagboard.
i miss the old one.. so customisable.. unlike this one.. i cant
do anything to it.
i think
i'm gonna have my ns pay credited to my UOB account instead. i've
charged about $150 to my new visa mini debit since i received it
in the mail yesterday. you can get discounts at many places if you
pay with it.. like acid bar.. which i went with yw n darren today.
its quite a nice place to stone and chill out.. the beer girl was
very friendly too.. haha. they had a promotion.. 5 bottles of anchor
beer for $35.. and since we already ordered some drinks before that..
i offered her a bottle and she gladly accepted it. haaha. she just
sat down and talked cock with us till she knocked off at 12. oh
and she invited us over to her friends' chalet at pasir ris.. lol.
but obviously we didnt go lah. haaha her friends are some people
from a tattoo shop at far east. oh oh! and her colleague is damn
chio!! haaha ok nvm. anyway in the end the bill for the beer was
$30 before discount.. dunno if she told us the price wrongly or
she charged us less.
hmm
that vodka thing darren did inspired me to start playing around
with photos again. i think i'm gonna take my dad's dimageA1
out to play around tomorrow n see if it lives up to its hype.. haha.
and then i can start surfing around for photoshop tutorials..

the archi aptitude test today.. err it was quite ok i think.. except
that i was freezing my ass off in the exam hall for more than 3hrs!!!
but i still dunno if i'm shortlisted for the interview.. not that
i really care though. haaha. sorry fiona woke u up so early n made
u wait. buy u dinner next time k.. hehe.
oh
check this out... cool huh. darren made it.. and if u enlarge the
photo u'll notice that it's actually a pic of me in the logo! haaha.
this was a brand new bottle of vodka.. and after a couple of hours
of heavy drinking by yiwei darren and me.. this is what's left.

got
myself a new hp.. nokia6220.. same as derek's. dunno why i bought
it also. i wanted to look at the black t630 initially.. but they
don't have it in the shop.. then somehow that guy successfully persuaded
me to trade in my phone to get this one. its like after i bought
it then it came to me that i have a new phone. hahaa. he was like
saying after a few month if i trade in this to get the t630 then
its more worth it cos dunno wat nokia phones depreciate slower while
sony-ericsson depreciates faster blahblah. i miss my old phone..
with the red casing and the ferrari logo. sigh. i hate trading in
stuff. and i just realised now they have all my photos n msges..
bleah. its all darren's fault.. cos he dropped me off at toa payoh
after hockey today.. and toa payoh is full of handphone shops with
skilled salesmen who can psycho pple to buy whatever they feel like
selling.

guess
what i got in the mail today.. a letter from NUS saying i'm shortlisted
for an aptitude test and interview for architecture. weird.. i re-applied
for NUS this yr but i can't remember my 1st choice. i wanted biz
ad.. so its either i put biz ad 1st choice n i didnt get it, or
i put courses like archi n law ahead of biz ad thinking i won't
get in anyway. yup anyway the test is on FRIDAY MORNING! woohOO!
cos friday is half day for me.. so i will prob either book out on
thursday night or early fri morning n have a longgg weekend. still
contemplating if i should go for it.. cos i'm supposed to bring
pencil, eraser and some other stationery.. if they ever make me
draw anything then i think i'll have no chance of getting in. not
that i want to study there lah.. but if i make it past the test...
i'll be shortlisted for an interview on monday morning!!!!!! which
means... wahahaaha.. an even longer weekend for me man.

i need
a life... -sobs- i spent the whole of yesterday and today just stoning
in my bunk.. watching tv and vcds. i can even memorise the tv programme
for ch5 now. in the mornings till 9+ its channelnewsasia, after
that i'll go n sleep till bout 11 where they'll show some dumbass
french desserts show or something like that, followed by yan can
cook, and then some gayass taking u around the world looking for
cheap clothings. then after lunch its days of our lives so we'll
switch to fabian's vcds. so far in these 2 days i've watched perfect
score, 50 first dates, lost in translation and kill bill. fortunately
the prime time shows at night aren't that bad. i'll be bringing
my ps2 in later when i book in to fill up whatever free time we
have in between. sigh.. not that i don't like slacking lah but i
could have spent all these time enjoying myself outside!!! grr.
sianz gotta book in in 15mins time.. cant wait for the monaco chelsea
match to start..

oh
guess what! i did get up in time for the hockey game. or maybe its
because i couldn't sleep the whole night. dunno wtf happened to
my aircon. set it at 22degrees but my room temp was like 30??! anyway
hockey was quite fun.. surprisingly i can still hit the ball despite
not touching my stick for like more than a year? oh and then darren
gave me and 5 of my juniors a lift to orchard in his lorry! woohooO
love that truck man its so cool. the charyong gardens security guard
actually let him in to park there last night.. lol. anyway here's
a photo i took with derek last night (or rather this morning at
about 3am)
today(saturday)
was a good day. derek n i thought we wouldn't be able to find anyone
to go out with.. but in the end we managed to get darren chris kaiwen
and genevieve. darren chris n gen all drove.. darren and his lorry,
chris and his 9yr old lancer with a window that cannot be wound
up after he wound it down, and gen with her mazda 323 with a back
door that cannot be opened cos she smashed it into a pillar 3 times.
darren's lorry is fun.. he let me drive it for a while.. but i sat
at the back with derek most of the time. i seriously wonder when
i can start driving alone. i'm trying to use reverse pychology on
my dad.. like whenever he wants me to drive or what i'll say no..
see how long it will be before he gives up and let me drive.. hehe.
cos anyway if he don't let me drive then the car caN JUST STAY THERE
AND ROT FOR ALL I CARE! WAHAAAHAhaaha. i mean on weekends when my
sis don't need to drive to work. yup ok i shall go get some sleep
now. its 4am and i'm supposed to meet darren n some other guys for
hockey at sajc at 9am. i'm so gonna be on time.

sigh
i'm so sick of camp.. despite this being only my 4th day back there..
and i had nights off everyday and half day off today. went town
to play pool on monday, went home on tuesday, and celebrated yiwei's
bday together with darren n chris last night. bought him a cake
and had dinner at paragon. ohh and kenny must be so thankful i told
everyone in camp its his birthday.
thats
erm lots of prickly heat, bit of toothpaste, "off" insect
repellent and err.. water. anyway this was after he swept away most
of the powder.. he was completely white initially.. haha. we hosed
him down with water from the firehose after that and poured a can
of coke and 100plus on him.. hehe. too bad nobody had yokoyoko..
thats the ultimate treatment man. hehe. anyway.. anyone wants to
go out tomorrow? i've got another half day off! :P

supposed
to go chinablack yesterday to meet cheng esther they all but the
queue was ultra long so we went some club next to dblO in the end
(its called O bar or something). the drinks there were damn cheap
n music was quite good. me darren n yw almost finished an entire
bottle of vodka before we left the apartment.. and were already
damn high by the time we went out to meet chris and jh. had somemore
drinks at the bar again since the prices were so irresistably cheap
haha. darren sucks.. puked out his vodka, and yw was like a bit
drunk.. couldnt even walk properly.. lol. but still it was quite
fun lah. didnt sleep the whole night again.. else surely cannot
sleep when i go back to camp. i hope i'm tired enough to fall asleep
after booking in tonight.. so at least my bodyclock won't be so
screwed up. k gonna start packing my duffel bag n stuff.. sigh..
2 weeks gone just like that.. but looking on the bright side.. i'm
2 weeks closer to ORD! wooOHoo. hahaa.

i realised
last night (or rather this mornign) is the last night i get to sleep
in my comfy room before going back to hell (pasir laba camp). will
be going clubbing or something tonight with yw they all.. won't
be coming home.. and i don't think i want to sleep tonight. time
is too precious to be slept away.. i can get lots of sleep in camp
anyway. hehe. can't believe these 2 wks passed so quickly. i was
told never to countdown till the day u ord or it'll seem very long.
i've been counting down to the day i need to book in since i came
back from thailand but it still seems very fast leh. sigh. anyway
gtg now.. eat dinner with parents then go down town meet the guys..
hope it'll be fun!

mambo
was quite good yesterday. cheng bumped into one of his fuckin rich
friends who opened a bottle of martell and kept feedin us with drinks.
heh thats on top of all the teuila pops and shots and jugs of vodka
we had before that. think i drank bit too much.. couldn't sleep
at all.. spent the whole morning watching tv.

joanna for lunch and she came over my place for a while after that.
my dad came home and saw her.. and later asked me if i wanted to
keep the keys for the char yong apartment for the next few days.
i think he suspects i took the keys to stayover with jo?? seee jo
i told u not to say hi to him and just leave discreetly.. haha.

last
week mark got into an accident, yesterday it was darren's turn to
crash his one month old sonata. i guess now i understand why my
dad was being so protective all the while. sigh. i was driving my
sis to get some groceries last night when images of the accident
kept coming into my mind. its like everytime i see a vehicle in
front of me i can picture myself crashing into it.. and i can even
hear it clearly.. its creepy. so anyway all u drivers below 23 out
there.. there's a reason why our insurance premium's higher than
the rest. heh.. take lotsa care while driving..

i slept
at 5am on monday, 4am on tuesday and 5am on wednesday. it is now
6.20 and i'm still not asleep. its past reveille timing already.
was at zouk with my campmates. woooO mambo! i love britney's toxic.
heh. britney rocks my world. one year ago at this time i was rolling
on my bed unable to get to sleep. i'll never forget how sad it felt
to cross the border from civilian to military life. there was literally
a line drawn at pasir ris bus interchange which we had to cross,
and our parents could only stand at the other side. familes weren't
allowed to accompany us over to tekong then cos of the sars outbreak.
sigh. one year down, 16 months more to go. ok its 6.30. i'm starving..
and too fucking tired to drag myself into the shower. i think i'll
shower after i wake up. i think i'm sober.. but i'm not too sure.
lets see if i remember typing this entry when i read it tomorrow.
oh yah there were lots of thai transvestites at zouk today. a few
of them were actually quite petite and pretty. yz was squatting
by the drain puking out his long island tea when one of the trans
came along, patted his back, and asked if he needed some milk while
squeezing 'its' boobs. haha it was a fucking funny sight. yz's seh,
yet shocked face. i wonder how fake breasts feel like. 6.40. yawn.

my mum's bday is actually tomorrow. woke up early this morning to

out with my campmates today for 5hrs of CS, 2hrs of pool, a sumptuous
dinner at suntec's soup restaurant, and a midnight movie. watched
something's gotta give.. which was quite good, but i didn't find
it very funny. its more of a romance thing than a comedy. and it's
quite sick seeing jack nicholson and diane keaton make out so often
in the show.. hahahh.
ok
its 5am now.. and i havent showered or removed my contacts.. i just
wanna lie on my bed and sleeeeep...

omg
i forgot it's my mum's bday tomorrow! and i just told her i won't
be home for dinner.. oops. i hope my sis bought her present. totally
lost track of the dates.. i only know it's a wednesday, meeting
my army friends tomorrow, and i need to be back in camp by sunday.
bleah.
anyway..
thought i'd just write a bit bout my thailand trip. it wasn't too
bad.. we had proper beds and lockers, but the cookhouse food totally
cannot make it. however the canteen food made up for it. we'd collect
the cookhouse food and then promptly pour everything away before
heading down to the canteen every lunch and dinner. the food there
are relatively cheap compared to singapore's.. we'd spend an average
of 100baht (bout $4-$5) per meal. a typical dinner would be pineapple
rice, deep fried pork balls, tom yam seafood and sambal kangkong.
*slurrrrp*. oh.. and not forgetting our ice cream sundaes to top
everything off. yumyum. we tried avoiding chicken and eggs the first
few days as kanchanaburi is one of the few places in thailand affected
by bird flu.. but it got too tempting and we decided its well worth
to take the risk. heh.
the
weather there's damn extreme. the 1st 2 days we were there it rained
non-stop.. and from the 3rd day onwards the afternoons were extremely
hot whereas the mornings and nights were freezing cold. its like..
at night after our night snack everyone would either be rubbing
their hands or tucking their hands under their arms while walking
back from the cookhouse (it's a 15min walk from cookhouse to the
bunk). we had a 5km runs every morning at 5.45am.. and you could
hear people's teeth chattering while warming up.
we
had 2 days of R & R.. visited some crappy museums, a shopping
mall, the bridge over river kwai, oh and a safari park.. where me
cheng and yongzheng took a photo with a tiger. haaaha so cool. i'll
upload it when i get the photo from cheng.
the
thai soldiers gave us a really good reception when we were there.
we were provided with 2 armed vehicles to escort our 7 coaches while
travelling around during R & R. one of them led the convoy while
the other guarded the back. they not only ensured our journey was
safe, but also smooth without any stoppages. whenever we're stuck
at the lights of a cross junction, the first armed escort would
turn on its siren and block out all oncoming traffic so we could
carry on without stopping. and whenever there's traffic congestion,
at the sound of the siren, all the cars will make way for us. it
sure made us feel important.
i guess
after this experience i won't exactly dread the next trip. not that
i'm looking froward to it.. but.. it's not that bad lah huh. at
least i'll get a week off after coming back. oh and does anyone
want fake stuff? the imitation wallets, sunglasses, watches and
clothes there look quite genuine. yup hurry place your orders now
before i leave.. hehe.

bleah
this will be the last night on my comfy bed before leaving for birdfluland.
anyway i'm down with flu despite taking the flu jab yesterday. took
8 panadols and 2 malaria pills today.. feeling bit groggy now. hope
everything will go away tmrw and i won't get rejected in the airport
for running a temperature.. heh.

the
last samurai is such a nice show.. its up there with my all time

hmm
will be leaving for thailand next sat early morning.. and i still
dunno which part of thailand we're going. had been asking around
and only kenny knew.. but he couldn't remember. he said it starts
with G.. and he saw a newspaper report saying that place is affected
by bird flu. instead of cancelling the trip altogether so we won't
risk getting that darn disease.. SAF will be giving all of us flu
jabs and taking away our R&R there. like wtf why would anyone
get bird flu during R&R??? sigh..
we
have to soak our uniforms in some solution before packing them in
our kit bags to prevent mosquitoes and other insect bites there.
after reading the box, i wonder if i can survive the solution myself.
well these are some first aid measures written on the box. if inhaled,
apply artificial respiration if breathing stops. should u swallow
any of that crap.. good luck.. cos there are no known antidotes.
treat symptoms. is it worthwhile risking my life just to keep those
mosquitoes away? heh..
