ok i guess this will be my last entry for quite some time. just received a call from CMPB, my family will not be allowed to send me off at tekong tomorrow due to the SARS thingy. sigh. they can't even drop me off at the SAF ferry terminal cos there'll be a medical screening at Pasir Ris MRT for all enlistees. yup anyway feel free to sms me.. keep me entertained with your msges that i'll get to read every night. haha. yah and also drop me msges on my tagboard. i'll be back in 3 weeks :)

so little time, so much to do. i've got just 2 days left before i'll have to serve my sentence. trying to enjoy myself as much as possible for now, and at the same time get myself all excited about NS by buying lots of stuff that i'll be bringing in with me. hmm went army market 2 days ago, bought bits and pieces of things that i might need inside. think i bought too much though, cos most of the military stuff will be provided. all these shopping for NS stuff is making me look forward to my enlistment day. haha. yup anyway i gotta sleep now, will be meeting the guys tomorrow at around noon. then after that we'll be going over to chris's dad's vacant condo to bunk over and help him mess up the place. haha. there's scv there so we can catch the england vs liechwetinsddfghumvstein match. most of my classmates will be going down.. so think it should be fun. hehe.

had another long day today.. hope every one of my pre-ns days will be like that. life is too short to be slacking at home.

played badminton in the morning.. n realised i totally suck at it. went derek's house to change after that.. and then went town for pool and dinner. wooo.. and here comes the best part.. after dinner we went to check out how orchard towers look like at night. wahahaaa.. filled with prostitutes, transvestites, pimps, and horny caucasians. what an eye opener. we checked out the 1st and 2nd floor, as well as the basement.. haha fun! oh then while walking back to the mrt station this pregnant woman came up to us to ask for money.. she gave us a very pathetic look.. n told us a story about how her husband left her.. and that she don't have money for food the next day. no idea how true that was.. but anyway we weren't much richer than her anyway so didnt give her anything. i hardly had enough for my cab home frm amk.. 138's last bus is at 11.45. yah then there's still the midnight charge.. sigh if only i have my own car. haha. went with gary and derek to meet this girl who works at the starbucks outside california fitness to get free food. haha. she gets to keep the leftovers for the day.. yep got a couple of cup cakes and donuts. heh must get to know her so i can get more stuff from her next time.

played a game with gary and derek out of boredom today. walk around orchard and count the number of friends you bump into. haha gary won the title of mr popular after seeing 11 friends, while the unpopular derek and me were tied at a lowly 6 a piece. heh. hmm met genevieve, my sis, zhihui, denise, leon and jinsheng. haha..

ok think i'll be meeting the guys tomorrow at beach road to get some army stuff. i don't know what i'm supposed to get.. everyone just said.. get army stuff.. so hmm.. just go down n see what i can buy. haven't got plans for tomorrow anyway.

booyakasha! finally me sees a good game by liverpool. beat da crap houtta leeds just now on da telly. me had to take da cab home cuz me woz gettin all late for da match but it woz well worth it. eskey n diouf misses shots dat me nan would haf scored blindfolded.. but whu carez they still won in da end.

just got home.. received a letter from mindef. gosh they brought forward my enlistment by 2 days! i'm now going in on the 1st of april. sigh.. 2 days less to play around.

the ubin trip yesterday was quite fun.. heh. cycled for almost 5 hours in the super bumpy terrain. raced the last 2-3km or so in our very own "tour de france". derek who was awarded the yellow jersey won the gruelling race in the end.. haha. hmm.. some other highlights of the trip.. we climbed over a fence and waddled through thorny shrubs and bushes in restricted area to get to the quarry. the water was just so amazingly clear and beautiful.. but we didnt have our swimming gear, and we were in a hurry cos the bike rental shop's closing.. else we definitely wouldn't have been able to resist jumping in. oh yah, and we found this deserted boat by a stream in the forest. it's quite a big motor powered boat, not like a wooden sampan kinda thing. we had plans to make the it ours, and sail far far away with it, but the cockpit was locked, and it was restrained by this steel cable with a padlock. heh the next time we go down we'll bring a saw to liberate it, and also bring stuff to decorate our boat with. it'll be called RSS F9, named after its founders. hehe.

muahaha i'm finally getting my pay from prudential. this lady called me yesterday, on behalf of amanda the b*tch, and told us to collect our pay on thursday. hope they'll give the actual full amount..

just finished my last driving lesson today. did a mock test kinda thing, went through the circuit and then a test route, twice. the maximum number of demerit points you can accumulate during the test is 18 i think, and i only got 6 after doing it twice over. haha.. feeling all confident about taking the traffic police test. don't know when that will be though, need to find a date where i can book out of NS.

hmm.. going on a cycling trip tomorrow with the guys n fiona. hope it'll be fun.. away from all civilisation. haha. might be staying over at someone's house for the liverpool celtic match after that.

went ministry of manpower to complain about the prudential thing a couple of days back. argh i don't think we'll be able to lodge a complaint with them cos u gotta wait in the queue for 1 and the half months before they'll arrange a meeting for you.. and by that time i'd be in tekong, and if i'm absent for the meeting they'll take it as i close the case. so..... i've no idea what's gonna happen. the MOM guy suggested writing a letter to prudential's HR department.. think we'll try that. yep.. anyway, after leaving MOM yiwei had to go crystal's place for a while, so it was just me and derek alone in chinatown area. walked around aimlessly.. explored places we've never been to.. like the MITA building. haha. it's a pretty cool place. used to be the police headquarters i think.. around boat quay area. walked all the way to funan after that.. took their shuttle bus to great world city, and then took a shuttle bus from there to orchard. haha.. oh and did i mention, we walked to MOM from raffles place.. so we kinda covered the entire town area in one afternoon. not bad sia..

had a long and tiring day yesterday. woke up at 7.50.. was supposed to meet the guys for NTU's admission talks thing, but in the end because everyone was late.. we met at clementi instead and only went for NUS's open house. checked out their campus and the open house booths.. but didn't go for any of the boring talks. met lots of pple that i haven't seen for quite some time.. like clarissa (jinsheng was so jealous.. heh), colin and jasmine, some other marist people, and my sec 3 & 4 form teacher! anyway after listening to countless conversations between the undergrads manning the booths and my friends about the courses, i still have no idea what i should apply for.. sigh. i think i'll just apply for everything in order of their cutoff points and see what i get into.

went for sajc's band concert last night though we didn't have tics. apparently the councillors did not punch kenny and his band friend's tics. he msged derek to tell him about it.. and we headed down to the concert. haha. it was a sellout, we had to sit on the foldable chairs cos there weren't any comfy seats left.

today's gonna be another boring day. don't even have a liverpool match to look forward to. think i'll just stay at home and finish up my kurt angle's biography. heh. hope yiwei derek and joanna will be free tomorrow. need to go down MOM to lodge a complaint about the prudential thing.

went out with eunice today. accompanied her to book her final theory, and then helped her give out pamphlets for her makeover company at suntec. at least i did something today.. heh. was literally stoning at home the last 2 days. yah no one asked me out, so i just stayed at home and spent my time in front of the computer and watching tv. watched shanghai knights that i downloaded, and hero on vcd. yep.. both shows were quite dumb lah.. but at least shanghai knights was funny.

ok need to sleep now, gotta meet the guys 9.30am at boon lay for ntu's admission talks. don't know how i'm supposed to wake up on time..

wow check out what they did to our beloved student's centre! we used to spend like 80% of our time in school in this room sleeping, pillow fighting, playing stupid games like uno slam and jenga, mainly just to hide from our teachers after zao-ing their lectures and tutorials. yahh it's like when you're late for school or something and can't find everybody, just pop into the SC and you'll find the entire gang there.

my dad rulez!! he just came back from his long china trip on monday. told him bout the prudential thing.. and he was like " tell them your dad spoke to his legal advisors, and tell them to either pay you now or take down their full particulars and report them to the police. after that give me the report, i'll sue them personally. you should never let these people off " yah then after that he scolded me for letting them drag the case for so long, and that i shouldn't have let them threaten me like that. muahaha i love my dad. my mum on the other hand kept nagging and said i should have listened to her and not worked in the first place. wellll.. anyway, called up jean (the only prudential agent who had been nice to us throughout this period) this afternoon and asked her what they're up to. she said she has stopped attending their meetings and stuff and that she doesn't wanna get involved in it. oh and she claims amanda is in charge of everything.. so i asked for amanda's number, but she didn't give me, she said she'll get amanda to call me instead. can't wait for her call..

eeurgh late for driving again today. for the 4th consecutive lesson i've been taking a cab down and still being late.. and it's like i made sure i woke up with sufficient time to prepare.. but in the end something will crop up and i'll be late. like today.. i gave myself 45 mins to prepare and leave home, and then unknowingly spent an hour in front of the com..

oh i was staring at the car allocation tv monitor while waiting for brenda at the driving centre after my lesson today, wondering if there's anyone i know. and guess what, saw dorothea's name in it. heh. haven't talked to her for a superlong time. lost her icq contacts when my com crashed some time back. remembered her url though, checked out her site and left her a msg. haiz.. another one of those rj straight As student.

emailed my cousin my results.. and that i feel like doing business in ntu. here's his reply:
U really interested in business? If u do, I suggest u go for accountancy instead. Becos business is a general degree which does not have much value compared to accountancy, which is a professional degree, trust me on this. Anyway accountancy cover most of the business degree's curriculum. But before u really sign up for accountancy, talk to me first cos I will assess your apitude towards accountancy. if u finally insist on doing business, I think there is a slight difference in curriculum between NTU and NUS, u need to read the detail. Based on my ten year ago memory, business in NTU has many major, eg banking, insurance, marketing, etc (can ask Ling Ling, she is business grad, major marketing), not sure about NUS, I think only Business Administration. Last word, take accountancy if u have inclination toward $$ and u feel u have a strong sense of $$ and especially if u have good $$ sense and if u are good at managing $$ and lastly if u interested in $$ take accountancy!!!!!!!!!!!

yep if you couldnt tell, my cousin's an accountant. ok now i can't make up my mind on what course to take. i won't be able to get into accounting, unless i try SMU, which my parents are firmly against. they don't want me to do arts and social science either. argh i don't wanna think about it anymore. why can't i just skip all the studying part and do something more constructive? if only i managed to go through the air force thingy i'd be happily training to be a pilot now without having to worry about my future.

i realised i've been playing pool almost everyday for the past 2 weeks or so, cos everytime we (darren, derek, jiahao, chris, yiwei, kenny & me) are together, we can't think of anything else to do. haiz.. what a sad life. and pool is such an expensive hobby.. we pay around $6-8 each if we play for bout 2 hrs.

speak of money.. wonder when prudential's gonna pay us for the survey job. we already told them to either give us our full pay or go ahead with the whatever police investigation they wanna pursue.. but they haven't given us a reply yet. yiwei called up ministry of manpower, and according to them, since we didn't sign any anything with prudential, there is no breach of contract, and we should be entitled to lodge an official complaint against them. we'd probably do that if they still don't let us know what's going on in the next couple of days.

okay gotta go for my driving lesson now.. will be meeting brenda after driving cos she wants to enrol in my driving centre too. then maybe we can lunch at nyp, the food there's nice and cheap. ok i hope i won't be late again..

results were ok i guess. not fantastic, but for the effort (or the lack of it) i've put in.. it would have been unfair to those who worked hard had i done any better. haven't thought of which uni to go to, or what course to do. engineering is out.. though physics has been my strongest subject. i don't wanna become a boring lifeless engineer :|. went for the career fair at suntec today but didn't find any course that would interest me.. sigh. ok maybe i'd do business in some local u if i can't decide on anything else..

driving was fun! haha.. left home in a hurry cos i overslept.. and forgot to bring my phone out. pleaded the instructor to let me drive home to take it and he agreed! heh.. i live bout 5 mins drive from the centre. for once i get to drive on my own, without having to obey his instructions to turn left or right or whatever.

supposed to meet brenda lixuan wendy n yiwei for university admission talks at ntu tomorrow, but it's at 10am, and ntu is like at the other end of the country. seriously doubt i can make it in time. ok on second thoughts, since i won't make it in time for the talks, might as well don't go at all. looks like i gotta find something else to do tmrw..

so my tutor was right about the results. hmm 40 hrs left to the release of my A level results.. trying hard to get the thought of it out of my head. i keep imagining myself waiting in line in the school hall for my tutor to hand the slips out. the anxiety is that of when you're on a rollercoaster which has just reached the peak and is stationary for a split second before accelerating down the drop.

received an sms from the insurance agent last night, they wanted us down at the office by 3pm this afternoon. thought we'd be getting our pay.. but instead, they suspect us of cheating on the company by asking friends down and delibrately asking them to leave fake details, and now threaten us to either accept very little pay, or report the matter to the police. how childish can they get? i mean it's just a few hundred bucks what's the big deal? it's very obvious they don't want to give us our full pay and are trying to scare us into accepting just a fraction of it. after speaking to a few people, we've decided either they pay us in full or we'll agree to let the police do official investigation.. and maybe even countersue them for trying to blackmail us. will be confirmed tomorrow. sigh. as if the release of results weren't stressful enough.

cut my hair supershort today. yep.. since yiwei and jiahao wanted haircuts.. i thought might as well cut together with them. hair's damn short now.. which means almost all the colour is gone. bought a bottle of gatsby's rusty ash coloured hairdye. heh, too ex to dye at the salon again. the dye's just $10.. and i'm gonna share it with yiwei.. so it's like one tenth the price of dyeing it at the salon. oh saw the photos of eunice in the salon's seventeen mag. she's looks quite cute in them, and both hairdressers thought she was very pretty too.. hmm.....

oh did i not mention? my maid was sent home on tuesday. life is good without a maid. so much more privacy, and no tattletale to complain to my parents about me sleeping in or refusing to eat lunch or whatever. hahaha. yep but there's a big prob now. my parents will be out of town tomorrow.. for 10 whole days. which means nobody will be washing the clothes, cleaning the toilets, mopping the floors, watering the plants, feeding the fishes, boiling water in the mornings, making the beds.. this list is inexhaustive. my mum just gave me a 2 hr survival training course which includes how to operate the kettle, washing machine, and where to find stuff such as mops, pails and basic cooking utencils. heh this is the first time i'm living without a maid i think.. should be quite exciting..

total freedom for 10 full days. well that's what i thought. but due to the advancement in telecommunications and something called auto-roaming, it'll be hard to lie my way out. hope they don't call too often to check on me. heh. oh and to kickoff the celebrations, the guys will be staying over for the liverpool vs manutd match on sunday. they better clean up before they leave or i swear i'd murder them..
