Do you know that God wants very much to make you well of your sicknesses? Right in the beginning
of the Bible, in Exodus 15:26, He told the Israelites, "I am the Lord that healeth thee." There are
seven reasons why God longs to heal you:
God loves you more than you know : In Psalm 139:17-18, God says that His loving and precious
thoughts towards you are more in number than the sand on the seashore. He is thinking of you
non-stop and all the time. Nobody can do that!
You are God's masterpiece of art : In Psalm 8:3-6, the Psalmist asked, "Who are you that
God should be so engrossed with you and that He should crown you with glory and honour, and give
you dominion over the works of His hands?" As a human being, you are the highest creation of God.
On top of that, you have been created unique and there is only one of you. (We all know this from
fingerprints and DNA).
God has the power to heal you : Not only doctors can heal you, but there are some illnesses
that even doctors are powerless. Jesus has all the power in the universe to save, heal, deliver and
create miracles. When you come to the Lord Jesus for help, you have come to the right Person.
God is willing to heal you : In Mark 1:41, the leper came to beg of Jesus, saying, "Lord,
if You are willing, I know You can make me clean." The Lord was immediately moved with compassion
and He said, "I am willing. Be completely made whole." That man was delivered of leprosy. Jesus
has both the power and willingness to heal you!
Jesus paid the full price for your healing : The provision for your healing took place 2,000
years ago when Jesus was nailed to the terrible Cross at Calvary. He not only paid for your sins
but also for your sicknesses, diseases and infirmities. He paid the full price for the healing
of your total person. I know you may be going through deep pain, but know that Jesus Christ has died
for your pain and today, you are going to be healed!
There is legal scriptural basis for your healing : Matthew 8:17, "That it might be fulfilled
which was spoken by Esias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our
sicknesses." The provision for your healing is waiting for you. It cost Jesus His life to heal you!
Now this healing provision is waiting for a legal transaction to take place. It is waiting for you
to say, "I am willing to accept the precious sacrifice of Jesus Christ for my sins and my sicknesses.
I place my sicknesses upon Jesus and He imparts His life to me." As soon as you believe and
confess that, a legal transaction and a divine exchange will take place. God will quicken your
mortal body by the resurrection power of Jesus Christ because there is a legal scriptural basis
for your healing.
God is glorified through your healing : In Chapter 9 of John, there was a man who was born
blind from birth. The disciples were wondering if the root cause was from the man's parents or himself.
Jesus clarified that the healing of this man's blindness will ultimately bring glory to God. The
blindness did not glorify God but the healing did. Praise God!
